What it means to be a Patron Member
Since 2019, Grand Junction has transformed the extraordinary Grade I listed St Mary Magdalene’s into a multi-arts destination, where we serve as a community hub, heritage site, cultural and performance space for adults and young people all under one roof.
As a Patron you will play an important role in making this possible. Your support helps us preserve our historic home. You will also help us keep our building true to its original purpose, a place for the community, by supporting artists and new local commissions, and provide much-needed free and low-cost activities that keep arts and learning accessible to our local people.
Patron membership brings you closer to Grand Junction, with special access to our programme, the building and the people behind the work.

Want to make a more specific contribution?
Over the next year we would love to make Grand Junction better by improving our facilities and programme. To help us do this, we are looking for support to fund a number of specific projects and items. If you would like to help us fund a particular item from our wishlist, we would love to hear from you. We are very grateful for the generosity of patrons who have helped us develop and support the arts and communities we serve.
Amount
Canalside Garden Restoration
The garden connecting the building to the Regent’s Canal is one of Paddington’s quietest gems. Planting, accessible paths and seating would make it a year-round community space.
- "The [Name] Garden at Grand Junction" — on-site acknowledgement plaque
Grand Piano Restoration
Music at Grand Junction has always been shaped by the quality of the instrument. A restored Steinway grand would transform what is possible in the nave.
- "In memory of / In the name of [Your Name]" — small plaque affixed to the instrument
Sound & Recording Equipment
An upgraded acoustic system and professional recording setup would allow Grand Junction to preserve performances and share this building’s extraordinary natural reverb.
- "Equipped in memory of / in celebration of [Name]" — equipment label and programme credit
Community Bursary Fund
Fund a year’s participation for ten young people from the Harrow Road community in Grand Junction’s creative programmes — music, movement, storytelling, and visual arts.
- "The [Name] Bursary Fund" — annual report acknowledgement and programme credit
Named Artist Residency
Establish a named residency at Grand Junction — a dedicated period for an emerging or established artist to create, research and share new work within this building.
- "The [Name] Residency at Grand Junction" — all programme materials and press
Stained Glass Panel Restoration
Every window in the nave tells a story — many have been in place for over a century. Sponsoring the restoration of a single panel is a precise and lasting act of conservation.
- "Restored in memory of [Name], [Year]" — panel plaque and programme credit
