Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalene’s is the perfect setting for your event, with the ability to host 250 guests for a seated meal or 400 for a standing reception. Located a ten-minute walk from Paddington station, our Grade I listed building boasts an ornate ceiling and stained glass windows – that are some of the finest examples of Gothic revival architecture in the country. The Nave
The Nave makes a powerful backdrop for larger events. The ornate stonework, stained glass, and tiled floor make it one of the most unique spaces in London. With flexible seating there is huge versatility in how the space can be used.The Nave is suitable for wedding receptions, parties, conferences, fashion shows, concerts and more.

The Undercroft
The Undercroft is the crypt of St Mary Magdalene’s Church. Its striking brickwork and vaulted ceiling make it an atmospheric setting for evening and daytime events. Tucked next to the Undercroft is the remarkable Chapel of St Sepulchre by Ninian Comper – over the years the chapel has been a favourite of film-makers, from ‘Les Miserables’ to ‘St Trinians’.The Undercroft is perfect for larger board meetings and AGMS, book launches, exhibitions, receptions, filming and photoshoots.Note, the pillars can cause restricted sight lines in certain configurations.

The Nest
The Nest is our smallest meeting room space, located in the modern extension designed by award-winning architects Dow Jones. Light refreshments can be provided at an additional cost, on request.

The Studio
The Studio is located in the modern extension, purpose built spaces designed by award-winning architects Dow Jones. The Studio is bright and airy with views over the green spaces and canal. Light refreshments can be provided at an additional cost, on request.
The Studio can accommodate small board meetings, away days, training sessions, workshops, and classes.

Our spaces are available for hire Monday – Saturday, we are unable to offer any spaces on Sundays. Evening and weekend hires may incur a small surcharge.
All our spaces and facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any access requirements.
We have a cafe on site that is open 7 days a week.
If you wish to place a large order with the café for lunch or refreshments at your event, please let us know in advance.

Questions you may have
Can I visit the venue in advance?
The venue is open to the public Monday to Wednesday, see visit page for current opening times. If you want to visit outside of these times, please contact the team and we will do our best to be as flexible as possible.
What can I expect from the Event Manager?
Your Event Manager is there to help you navigate the venue, to make it work in the best way for you. They can also offer support with finding the right suppliers and hiring companies, answer venue-related questions, and logistics on the day.
Are there parking spaces?
We have a dedicated parking space for 2-3 cars. On Saturdays and after 18.30 on weekdays there is free parking on the surrounding streets.Grand Junction is easy for you and your guests to get to, with great public transport links from across London and beyond (Warwick Avenue 0.4 miles, Royal Oak 0.3 miles, and Paddington 0.9 miles) and taxi’s.
Is the venue accessible?
All our spaces and facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any access requirements.
Is exclusive venue hire possible?
This can be possible with full venue hire, subject to availability – and includes cafe closure for complete privacy during your hire period.
Are there any fixed fee packages?
No fixed fee packages, we build packages with you based on your individual requirements – get in touch to share your plans for your hire.
What does the venue provide?
We provide the venue and furnishings, you choose your suppliers, from florists to caterers, to personally tailor your special day for you and your guests – with the support of your Event Manager. The cafe can also provide light catering options, tailored to your budget & requirements (subject to availability).
